Session
Kashvi has a very good understanding of today's lesson. She has a good grasp on how paragraphs are organized as well as identifying clue words. She gave a good inferred definition of "sonar" using context clues. She seems to be keeping up with her reading and writing very well, despite missing a few classes. She was a little quieter today, which was unusual because she is typically very enthusiastic and engaged. · Hannah

Session
Kashvi demonstrates a very good overall understanding of today's lesson. She was early to class so she read me her full polished story from last class and asked for feedback. She is skilled at gathering in-text evidence to back up her opinions and inferences. She was very prepared for today's class and had already read some of the book. · Hannah

Session
Kashvi seems to have a great understanding of all of today's lessons. She was able to give me a very solid theme and backed it up with evidence from the text. She did a great job comprehending the changes the main character undergoes throughout the story. It seems she is nearly done with her story, she just needed to work on spelling and adding details/sensory words. · Hannah

Session
Kashvi demonstrates a great overall understanding of figurative language, the vocab, and ending a story. She did especially well when explaining why a quote from the story is "figurative", and then translating it into more realistic terms. Her rough draft is also coming along very well. · Hannah

Session
Kashvi demonstrates a good understanding of when the narrator is speaking vs. a character. She was able to engage in a respectful back and forth conversation with Harsith and argue her point that the narrator knows more than the characters. She was able to rewrite the narrator's dialogue from other characters' point of view. She was able to add onto her story (with sequence and time words) with little effort. · Hannah

Session
Kashvi did excellent today. While she was reading the passage aloud she made an error on one word, but she self corrected immediately. She made opinions about the book and was able to cite textual evidence to back up her claim very well. She did a great job on the writing activity and she was able to convey her character's traits through their actions. She took initiative and said she will catch up on the reading over the weekend. · Hannah
