Session
Anaya has an okay understanding of today's lesson. She was not very engaged at the beginning but became really involved at the end when we were doing test prep and Kahoot. Similar to everyone, she had some confusion when listing causes and effects, as well as writing supporting ideas. She did fantastic on the test prep (6/6), and got a 90% on the Kahoot. · Hannah

Anaya has a good understanding of today's lesson, but there are a few areas for improvement. She had no issues with vocabulary. She seems to understand contractions well, but she answered a few activity questions incorrectly because she was not paying attention to instructions. During the popcorn reading, she mispronounced several words. When she was finished, I brought her attention back to those certain words and she was able to read most of them correctly. I think Anaya tends to skim over bigger/unfamiliar words when reading, but when they are isolated she has an easier time with them. · Hannah

Anaya seemed less engaged today. She asked me in the middle of class how long the lesson would take. I tried to encourage her to participate by selecting her to answer questions often. When I called on her to identify the signal word in a sentence, she said "cupcake", which was not in the passage. When we did our practice writing activity at the end, she seemed to have a better grasp on it. I don't think Anaya lacks any foundational skills, I think she is just distracted at times. She got a 17% on the Test Prep. · Hannah

Anaya did well on her presentation today. She used the correct sequence words but also added "and then" frequently between her steps. She gave excellent feedback to her peers. She did very well at reading aloud today. She received a 3/6 on test prep 1 and a 0% on the Kahoot quiz (this could have been due to the unfamiliar audio format of the Kahoot questionnaire). · Hannah

Session
Anaya has okay understanding of the book but good understanding of reflexive pronouns. She had a bit of trouble with reflexive pronouns at first but when I helped her work out the examples she caught on quickly. Her writing exercise sentences were good, she just had a small error in one sentence (she fixed it). I was unable to track her progress regarding the vocabulary words because when we were going over them, she had her camera/speaker off (for about 5-10 min) and did not respond when I called on her to answer a question twice. I am unsure if she is reading the book because she received a 40% on the Kahoot. · Hannah

Anaya did well today. She struggled with sounding out a few words but with guidance she got them quickly. She has a much better understanding of pronoun-verb agreements compared to last class, and she was able to confidently name the rule. She left class about 12 minutes early. She got a 40% on the Kahoot quiz. · Hannah

Session
Anaya was 15 minutes late today, and by then the students had already learned about the writing process and completed their brainstorm/partial draft. I still went over the writing process with her, and just told her to do the drafting for homework. She got stuck on the word "trophies" and "afraid" during popcorn reading, but she sounded it out. I think she has a bit of trouble reading out loud, because she reads with long pauses in between words. During the Kahoot, she struggled a bit with replacing sounds in words, but she did fantastic with syllables. She got a 55% on the Kahoot quiz. · Hannah

Anaya demonstrates a good understanding of the vocabulary words as well as subject-verb agreements. She had some confusion when I had her read the vocab word "glanced" (pronounced it as glans) but she was able to correct the pronounciation when I went over the word with her. She had a bit of trouble with subject-verb agreements at the beginning, but by the end she was able to complete the activity questions with complete accuracy. · Hannah

She was also using the chatroom feature in Zoom during the lesson. · Resolved 2026-10-16 · resolving it, I want the teacher to figure out a way to equip her with the skill. also, they are shifting house, which is also a reason for recent inconsistencies. I shared the feedback with the parent too

Anaya had some trouble being attentive the first bit of class, she did not volunteer to answer questions unless called on. When we were going over detail sentences, despite already having gone over an example she did not know what I was asking her to do. She had trouble expanding sentences with details, and had trouble with coming up with a closing sentence. Sometimes she will raise her hand to answer a question, but will say "I don't know" and not answer. During the phonological awareness portion, she pronounced "send" as "sand", and "hometown" as "hometow". · Hannah
